MALTA
Where the journey began
I’m Leanne—a Maltese native English speaker, teacher and traveller, now based in Prague.
Lea Goes Global started as a place to share the places I was lucky enough to see. I have always loved travelling—the movement, the newness and the stories you bring home.
But the more I travelled, the more I realised the moments that stayed with me were not only the landmarks. They were the conversations: asking someone for a recommendation, laughing over a misunderstanding, accepting an unexpected invitation and learning how another person sees the world.
Communication is what turns a place you visit into a memory you can belong to.
When you cannot find the words, part of that experience can feel just out of reach. That is why I teach practical English for real travel moments: so language helps you step further into the journey, rather than holding you back.
What began with one spontaneous decision in 2025 quickly became one of the most meaningful parts of my journey. Since then, I have taught more than 50 students—from children finding their first English words to adults building confidence for work, life and travel.
Along the way, lessons became conversations, conversations became friendships, and I completed my 120-hour TEFL certification. I discovered how much I love meeting new people, sharing what I know and helping someone find the words for their own journey.

Home—and teaching base—now
This is not every pin—just a handful of places that help tell the story. Choose one on the map, or let chance pick your next stop.
The island where my story begins—and where being a native English speaker is part of everyday life.
I know how vulnerable it can feel to find your feet somewhere new.
We practise the words that help you participate, connect and enjoy the trip.
You do not need perfect English to have a meaningful conversation.
